Day 8 - AGRA
In the morning City sightseeing Tour.
Visiting the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor
Shahjehan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her
mortal remains. Later Visit the Red Fort containing the Halls of
Private and Public Audience and other palaces. Also visit the
Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah built by Empress Noor Jehan in memory of
her father.
Afternoon free. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 - AGRA
Transfer to Railway station to board train SHATABDI EXPRESS
for Gwalior.
Depart Agra at 0819 hrs
Arrive Gwalior at 0930 hrs
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.
In the afternoon city sightseeing Tour.
Visiting the Man Mandir, Gujari Mahal (an Archaelogical Museum),
The Fort, Temple of Sas Bahu, Teli Ka Mandir, Jai Vilas Palace,
Tomb of Gaus Mohammad and the Mausoleum of Tansen. Evening sound
& light show.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 - GWALIOR
Morning depart for Shivpuri, 114 Kms (one way) is steeped in
the royal legacies of its past, when it was the summer capital
of the Scindia rulers of Gwalior. And even earlier, its dense
forests were the hunting grounds of the Mughal Emperors when
great herds of elephants were captured by the Emperor Akbar for
his stables. Much later, it was the tiger that roamed the wooded
hills and many magnificent beast was ‘bagged’ by royal shikaris.
And, with its luxuriant forests and undulating hills, Shivpuri
was a natural choice as the summer resort capital of the
Scindias. Shivpuri’s royal ambiance lives on in the exquisite
palaces and hunting lodges and graceful, intricately embellished
marble chattries (cenotaphs).
Lunch at Shivpuri’s Tourist Village. Set to a sylvan backdrop,
where hills spine dense forests, and lakes snuggle lowland
valleys, the Tourist Village at Shivpuri. Overlooking Sakhya
Sagar Lake and adjacent to Bhadaiya Kund, this complex of
red-tiled cottages is the ideal base for watching wildlife at
Madhav National park. Here you can sit back and relax on a cool
evening, and watch peacocks strut across the gardens, or a
variety of deer gather by the waterside. Birdsong fills the air
with musical melody, and all else is silence
Return to Gwalior. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 - GWALIOR / BHOPAL
Transfer to the railway station to board train “SHATABDI
EXPRESS” for Bhopal.
Depart Gwalior at 0933 hrs
Arrive Bhopal at 1400 hrs.
Meeting and transfer to hotel.
Rest of the day free. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 - BHOPAL
Full day excursion to Sanchi (46 Kms away from Bhopal, which
has distinction of having the finest specimen of almost all
Buddhist Architectural forms, Stupa, Chaitya, Temples and
monasteries dating from 3rd century BC. Visit 3 important Stupas
with circular Domes and railing around them. Also visit Ashoka
Pillar, Gupta Temple built in the 4th century and great Bow)
carved of one piece of stone. The museum displays number of
sculptures found in the area. Also visit Udaigiri Caves (59 Kms
away from Bhopal).
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 - BHOPAL / DELHI
Morning sightseeing tour of Bhopal City. Visiting he Upper
Lake, Lower Lake, Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Birla Museum, Kilol
Park, Kamala Park, Moti Masjid, Sadar Manzil and Taj Ul Masjid.
Drive past Vidhan Sabha, Tagore Memorial and the National
Achieves of India.
Depart Bhopal at 1440 hrs.
Arrive New Delhi at 2220 hrs.
Meeting & transfer to hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 - DELHI
Day free for independent activities.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 15 - DEPART DELHI
Transfer to the international airport in time to board the
flight for onward destination.
