Highlights: This
trip shows the rich farm life of India and the immense
agricultural progress made in recent decades. The wheat bowl of
India - Karnal, Ludhiana and Hissar - and the maize farms of
western India are some of the highlights of the trip.
Suggested program (best suitable for GROUPS):
Day 1 - DELHI
Arrive Delhi.
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 - DELHI
Morning city sightseeing of Old and New Delhi Visiting Qutab
Minar, India Gate (War memorial), Laxmi Narayan temple, Modern
Hindu Temple, Drive past President’s House, Parliament House and
Secretariat Buildings . Also visit Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana the
cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama
Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.
Evening visit the Indian Agricultural Research Institute at Pusa
where research in Agriculture sciences is carried out to suit
Indian Conventional methods of farming.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - DELHI
Full day excursion to Haryana Agriculture University at
Hissar. Visit the well laid our farms where methods are being
developed for transfer of technology from conventional methods
of farming. Return to Delhi for overnight stay.
Day 4 - DELHI / LUDHIANA
Morning depart for Karnal by Coach. Visit the National Dairy
Research Institute and attend a general lecture on Dairy Farming
in India by an expert of the Institute. Thereafter proceed to
Ludhiana by Coach. Check-in at hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5 - LUDHIANA / PUNJAB / DELHI
Morning visit the Agriculture University which is one of the
top rung universities of Agriculture in India. Research being
done in all fields of farming and Dairy farming. In time
transfer to board train Shan-e-Punjab for Delhi.
Depart Ludhiana at 1650 hrs.
Arrive Delhi at 2130 hrs
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 6 - DELHI / AGRA
Morning depart for Agra by Coach. On arrival, Check-in at
hotel.
Evening city sightseeing of Agra - visiting the world famous Taj
Mahal, built by the Emperor Shah Jehan in 1630 AD for his Queen
Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains.
Later visit the red fort containing the hall of Private and
Public audience. Overnight at hotel. |

Day 7 - AGRA / JAIPUR
Morning depart for Jaipur by Coach. Enroute visit Fatehpur
Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569. Stop at some interesting
spot to see the traditional Water Wheel, wells & other
irrigation methods which were and are still being used by
farmers. Proceed to Jaipur & on arrival check-in at hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 8 - JAIPUR
Morning excursion to Amber Fort with Elephant ride. Amber
was the capital of the state until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir or
the Hall of victory, glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and the
Kali temple. Followed by city sightseeing visiting Maharaja’s
city palace and the observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the
palace of Winds and through the rose - pink residential and
business areas of Jaipur. Later visit a farm belonging to a
progressive farmer where one can see crop & vegetable
cultivation.
Visit a “Mandi” - which is a wholesale market for farmers to
sell their daily produce.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 - JAIPUR / UDAIPUR
Morning transfer to airport to board flight for Udaipur
Depart Jaipur at 0655 hrs By IC-491
Arrive Udaipur at 0740 hrs
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.
Evening city sightseeing tour of Udaipur, visiting the City
Palace, Jagdish Temple & drive around fatehsagar Lake, Sahelion
ki Bari (Queen’s resort for her friends) and Bhartiya Lok Kala
Mandir (Folk art Museum).
Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 - UDAIPUR
Morning visits the Agriculture University where research is
on Crops and Dairy farming is done. Afternoon boat ride on Lake
Pichola and visit Jag Niwas Palace built in the middle of the
lake. Visit Borra Mahal, Khas Mahal and the courts, gardens and
fountains. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 - UDAIPUR / AHMEDABAD
Morning depart for Ahmedabad by surface. On arrival,
check-in at hotel.
Evening city sightseeing visiting the magnificent Mosque of
Siddi Sayyed with its exquisite stone carvings, the beautiful
Jama Masjid, White marbled Hathee Singh’s temple, and hirable,
Shading minarets, Calico Textile museum and Sabarmati Ashram
started by Mahatama Gandhi. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 - AHMEDABAD
Morning visit Anand Dairy, noted for its modern plant &
machinery. Started in 1955, it is supplied by over 3000 village
societies of the Kaira District. Union. Transfer to airport to
board flight for Mumbai.
Depart Ahmedabad at 2015 hr. by 9w-324
Arrive MUMBAI at 2115 hr.
Meeting and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 13 - MUMBAI
Morning excursion to Elephant Caves, dedicated to Lord
Shiva. The famous sculpture signifying the trinity of the
creator, the preserver and the destroyer is located here.
Evening city tour visiting the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway
of India, Jan temple, Hanging Gardens, Kampala near Park, Main
Bahaman and Dhabi Hat. Also drive past Afghan church, Flora
Fountain, colorful Crawford market and Marine Drive.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 - DEPART MUMBAI
Transfer to International airport to board flight for onward
